Helping You Save Energy and Make Your Home More Comfortable

The Canada Greener Homes Grant is being co-delivered by Natural Resources Canada and Enbridge Gas in Ontario under the Home Efficiency Rebate Plus (HER+) program. Grants are provided to eligible homeowners for recommended and eligible retrofits such as home insulation, windows and doors, heat pumps and renewable energy systems.

Grants from $125 to $5,000 for eligible upgrades

Invest in a More Sustainable Future with Grant-funded Heat Pumps and Hybrid Heating Systems

Up to $600 contribution for EnerGuide Evaluations

Contact us and we will have our energy assessor give you a call to schedule your assessment where all cost incurred will get reimbursed.

$1,500 for New or Existing Enbridge Customers

An added bonus for those who already heat or will be able to heat with natural gas.

Eligibility For The Program

Homeowners must provide proof of ownership and show that the home is their primary residence to qualify for the Canada Greener Homes Grant. Visit the Enbridge Gas website for a complete list of eligibility criteria and to get started with the Canada Greener Homes Grant process.

Note: You do not need to be an Enbridge customer to qualify for the grant.

 

How The Application Process Works

The Ontario home-owner journey for new applicants (effective January 4, 2023)

  • STEP 1: Go to the Enbridge (HER+ program) web page to get started

    Select a service organization

  • STEP 2A: Pre-retrofit EnerGuide evaluation

    Prioritize your renovations

  • STEP 2B: Interest-free loan (optional)

    Apply for the Canada Greener Homes Loan

  • STEP 3: Retrofit your home

    Consult your Renovation Upgrade Report (RUR)

  • STEP 4: Post-retrofit EnerGuide evaluation

    Your energy advisor will send you the documents by email or mail

  • STEP 5: Receive your Canada Greener Homes Grant and HER+ program rebate
